A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8
year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and
deeper than anyone could have imagined.

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her
toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even
when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."

Since a very long time ago, people have searched for the meaning of love. But even the great philosophers, with their profound definitions, could not fully touch its true essence. In a survey of 4-8 year olds, kids share their views on love. But what do little kids know about love?

I think love has many forms, but the one I know is blind. No matter

I feel that these kds have a really good grasp on love. It's horrible
to think of the times when love could just mean sex and drugs.
It's worse to know that love can be broken. I feel depressed,

I don't think love is simply self-sacrifice i.e. losing who you are
for someone else. Love should better allow you to fulfill who you are,
as well as the recipient of your love. There is definitely an amount
of giving, but not so much so that you become empty, because love
should only fulfill and cause growth. It's not about draining
yourself, it's about nurturing all that we as people can be so that we
are then able to continuing spreading that love.
