Ahmad Anvari is a product manager for Google Display Network (NASDAQ:GOOG). Prior to that, he led the experimentation and analytics at Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO) Search, Mail, and Messenger - as well as experimentation partnership with Microsoft. Before Yahoo, he managed insights and analytics at AOL Advertising's research group (formerly advertising.com, acquired by NYSE:AOL). Prior to that, he has held various engineering and leadership roles at silicon valley-based companies such as Oki America, Inc. and Open Telephone Network. He has also worked on the software requirements management system for the mars rover at NASA Ames Research center. Ahmad sits on the advisory board of a number of start ups, primarily focused on internet advertising, social networks, and big data analytics.
During his career, he has been responsible for the development of online solution and web-based products for large-scale advertising platforms, as well as account management systems for Internet Service Providers.
Ahmad serves as the Chairman of the Board at Festive Art, Inc., an online resource for promoting the Persian art that generates international exposure and revenue for the Iranian artists. He has also co-founded 7rooz.com, an online events calendar targeting the Persian community. He often talks about technology at Haftegi Radio, which he co-founded in 2005.
Ahmad holds a Master's degree in Software Engineering - Program Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology where his main research focus was Information and Internet Technology.
