DISNEY FILES BANKRUPTCY PAPERS

BURBANK, CA (DPI)
Media mega-giant Disney has asked for protection from creditors,
filing bankruptcy papers early Wednesday morning in Burbank City
Court.

Just last week, Disney was a model of financial strength And boasted
dividends on its stock that were well above industry analysts'
projections. So what went wrong? According to Disney CEO Michael
Eisner, the collapse was due to an Internet promotion gone terribly
awry. It seems that Disney's Head of Internet Marketing, Millicent
Perkins, took it upon herself to start a chain letter promotion in
conjunction with software giant Microsoft in which Disney would pay
$5,000 in cash or an all-expenses paid trip to Orlando's Disneyworld
theme park to the first 13,000 people who received a copy of Perkins'
initial message.

However, due to the tremendous increase in Internet users over the last
several months, over 30 million people received the message
simultaneously, causing Disney to have to pay out over $150 billion
dollars, which in turn forced the company to move quickly to
bankruptcy court to try to save itself. Eisner immediately asked that all
Disney employees pitch in by taking a small paycut, and made himself
an example by lopping $235 a month off of his $30 million yearly
salary. Reached for comment, Eisner said, "What the hell was that
broad thinking??"

Looks like Hanoi Jane may be honored as one of the "100
Women of the Century". JANE FONDA remembered?

Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still countless others have never
Known how Ms. Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our "country" but the
men who served and sacrificed during Vietnam.
There are few things I have strong visceral reactions to, but
Jane Fonda's participation in what I believe to be blatant treason,
is one of them. Part of my conviction comes from exposure to
those who suffered her attentions. The first part of this is from an
F-4E pilot. The pilot's name is Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat. In 1978,
The Commandant of the USAF Survival School was a former POW in Ho
Lo Prison-the "Hanoi Hilton". Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell,
cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean PJs, he was ordered to describe for a
visiting American "Peace Activist" the "lenient and humane treatment"
he'd received. He
spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and dragged away. During the
subsequent beating, he fell forward upon the camp Commandant's feet,
accidentally pulling the man's shoe off-which sent that officer berserk.
In '78, the AF Col still suffered from double vision (which
permanently ended his flying days) from the Vietnamese Col's frenzied
application of wooden baton.
From 1983-85, Col Larry Carrigan was the 347FW/DO (F-4Es). He spent 6
years
in the "Hilton"-the first three of which he was "missing in action". His
wife lived on faith that he was still alive. His group, too, got the
cleaned/fed/clothed routine in preparation for a "peace delegation"
visit.
They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to the world that
they still survived. Each man secreted a tiny
piece of paper, with his SSN on it, in the palm of his hand.
When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman, she walked the line,
shaking
each man's hand and asking little encouraging snippets like:
"Aren't you sorry you bombed babies?" and "Are you grateful for
the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?" Believing this had
to
be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of paper. She took them
all
without missing a beat. At the end of the line and once the camera
stopped
rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer
in
charge...and handed him the little
pile. Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Col Carrigan was
almost number four. For years after their release, a group of determined
former POWs Including Col Carrigan, tried to bring Ms. Fonda and others
up
on charges of treason. I don't know that they used it, but the charge of
"Negligent Homicide due to Depraved Indifference" would also seem
appropriate. Her obvious "granting of aid and comfort to the enemy",
alone,
should've been sufficient for the treason count. However, to date, Jane
Fonda has never been
formally charged with anything and continues to enjoy the privileged
life of the rich and famous.
Part of our shortfall is ignorance: most don't know such actions ever
took
place. Thought you might appreciate the knowledge. Most of you've
probably
already seen this by now... only addition I might add to these sentiments
is
to remember the
satisfaction of relieving myself into the urinal at some airbase or
another
where "zaps" of Hanoi Jane's face had been applied.

To whom it may concern:

I was a civilian economic development advisor in Viet Nam, and
was captured by the North Vietnamese communists in South Viet Nam
in 1968, and held for over 5 years. I spent 27 months in solitary
confinement, one year in a cage in Cambodia, and one year in a
"black box" in Hanoi. My North Vietnamese captors deliberately
poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a nurse in a
leprosarium in Ban me Thuot, South Vietnam, whom I buried in the jungle
near
the Cambodian border. At one time, I was weighing approximately 90
lb.. (My normal weight is 170 lb..) We were Jane Fonda's "war
criminals." When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi, I was asked by the camp
communist
political officer if I would be willing to meet with Jane Fonda. I said
yes, for I would like to tell her about the real treatment we POWs
were receiving, which was far different from the treatment purported
by the North Vietnamese, and parroted by Jane Fonda, as "humane and
lenient." Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on my
knees with outstretched arms with a piece of steel placed on my hands,
and
beaten with a bamboo cane every time my arms dipped.

I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda for a couple of hours after
I
was released. I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV.
She did not answer me, her former husband, Tom Hayden, answered for her.
She was mind controlled by her husband. This does not exemplify someone
who
should be honored as "100 Years of Great Women."

After I was released, I was asked what I thought of Jane Fonda and the
anti-war movement. I said that I held Joan Baez's husband in very
high regard, for he thought the war was wrong, burned his draft card
and went to prison in protest. If the other anti-war protesters took
this same route, it would have brought our judicial system to a halt and
ended
the war much earlier, and there wouldn't be as many on that somber
black granite wall called the Vietnam Memorial. This is democracy. This
is
the American way.

Jane Fonda, on the other hand, chose to be a traitor, and went
to Hanoi, wore their uniform, propagandized for the communists, and urged
American soldiers to desert. As we were being tortured, and
some of the POWs murdered, she called us liars. After her hero's-the
North Vietnamese communists-took over South Vietnam, they
systematically murdered 80,000 South Vietnamese political prisoners. May
their souls rest on her head forever. Shame! Shame! ( History is a
heavy
sword in the hands of those who refuse to forget it. Think of this
the next time you see Ms. Fonda-Turner at a Braves game).
Please take the time to read and forward to as many people as
you possibly can. It will eventually end up on her computer and
she needs to know that "we will never forget". Lest we forget..."100
years of great women" Jane Fonda should never be considered.

DON'T EVER DIAL AREA CODE 809

This one is being distributed all over the US. This is pretty scary-especially given the way they try to get you to call.

Be sure you read this & pass it on to all your friends & family so they don't get scammed!

MAJOR SCAM:

Don't respond to emails, phone calls, or web pages which tell you to call an "809" phone number. This is a very important issue of Scam Busters!

Because it alerts you to a scam that is spreading *extremely* quickly - can easily cost you $100 or more, and - is difficult to avoid unless you are aware of it. We'd like to thank Paul Bruemmer and Brian Stains for bringing this scam to our attention. This scam has also been identified by the National Fraud Information Center and is costing victims a lot of money.

There are lots of different permutations of this scam, but HERE'S HOW IT WORKS: You will receive a message on your answering machine or your pager, which asks you to call a number beginning with area code 809. The reason you're asked to call varies it can be to receive information about a family member who has been ill, to tell you someone has been arrested, died, to let you know you have won a wonderful prize, etc.,

In each case, you're told to call the 809 number right away. Since there are so many new area codes these days, people unknowingly return these calls. If you call from the US, you will apparently be charged $25 per- minute! Or, you'll get a long recorded message. The point is, they will try to keep you on the phone as long as possible to increase the charges. Unfortunately, when you get your phone bill, you'll often be charged more than $100.00.

WHY IT WORKS:
The 809 area code is located in the British Virgin Islands (the Bahamas). The 809 area code can be used as a "pay-per-call" number, similar to 900 numbers in the US. Since 809 is not in the US, it is not covered by U.S. regulations of 900 numbers, which require that you be notified and warned of charges and rates involved when you call a "pay-per-call" number. There is also no requirement that the company provide a time period during which you may terminate the call without being charged. Further, whereas many U.S. phones have 900 number blocking to avoid these kinds of charges, 900 number blocking will not prevent calls to the 809 area code.

We recommend that no matter how you get the message, if you are asked to call a number with an 809 area code that you don't recognize, investigate further and/or disregard the message. Be wary of email or calls asking you to call an 809 area code number. It's important to prevent becoming a victim of this scam, since trying to fight charges afterwards can become a real nightmare. That's because you did actually make the call.

If you complain, both your local phone company and your long distance carrier will not want to get involved and will most likely tell you that they are simply providing the billing for the foreign company. You'll end up dealing with a foreign company that argues they have done nothing wrong.

Please forward this entire message to your friends, family and colleagues to help them become aware of this scam so they don't get ripped off.

Last night we got a call from an individual identifying himself
as an AT&T Service technician who was conducting a test on
our telephone lines. He stated that to complete the test I
should touch nine (9), zero (0), the pound sign (#) and then
hang up. Luckily, I was suspicious and refused.

Upon contacting the telephone company, I was informed that
by pushing 90#, you give the requesting individual full access
to your telephone line, which allows them to place long
distance telephone calls billed to your home phone number. I
was further informed that this scam has been originating from
many of the local jails/prisons. I have also verified this
information with UCB Telecomm, Pacific Bell, MCI, Bell
Atlantic, GTE and NYNEX.

Please beware. DO NOT press 90# for ANYONE. The GTE
Security Department requested that I share this information
with EVERYONE I KNOW. PLEASE pass this on to
everyone YOU know. If you have mailing lists and/or
newsletters from organizations you are connected with, I
encourage you to pass on this information to them, too."

I'm an attorney, and I know the law. This thing is for real.
Rest assured AOL and Intel will follow through with their
promises for fear of facing an multimillion dollar class action
suit similar to the one filed by Pepsico against General
Electric not too long ago. I'll be damned if we're all going to

something for our time.

My brother's girlfriend got in on this a few months ago. When

Alaska Airlines Flight 261

Paul Harvey would call this "the rest of the story.......

Recently some incredible news has been learned regarding the last few
minutes of Alaska Airlines flight 261, before it crashed the end of
January. A man related last week that he talked with an Alaska Airlines
pilot who is involved in the investigation of the crash of Alaska Flight
261.

The pilot has listened to the cockpit voice recorder from the downed
plane and reported that for the last 9 minutes of the flight, the wife of
the pastor from Monroe, Washington can be heard sharing the Gospel with
the passengers over the airplane's intercom system. (The pastor and his
wife were returning from Mexico mission trip.) Just before the final dive
into the Pacific Ocean, she can be heard leading the sinners prayer for
salvation!

The pilot also told John that the flight data recorder from the plane
indicates that there is no good explanation for the plane remaining
in the air for those final 9 minutes. But it did remain in the air until
the pastor's wife finished sharing the Gospel and presumably lead many to
Christ in those final moments. Interesting we haven't heard any of this on
the evening news... thank the Lord for the Internet...please share this
with anyone you think might enjoy.

I am writing to you now to ask for your help. I do not really
know how to start a prayer chain, but we need a miracle.

Amanda Bundy is a 6-year-old girl in Greensburg
Pennsylvania, the daughter of some very close friends
of ours. A few weeks ago her mother was giving her a hug and
felt a lump on Amanda''s back. An X-ray showed it to be some
sort of growth, and later tests discovered that is a massive
malignant tumor that has spread to all parts of her chest and
abdomen. There are no organs that are untouched and she has
more tumor in her body than she has organs.

As I write this, she is hospitalized after a biopsy of the tumor,
and her parents are waiting for the results of a bone marrow
test If her bone marrow is clean, then they have a chance to
save her with chemotherapy. If they find cancerous cells in her
bone marrow, then the only hope to save her life is a miracle.
She is in no pain yet and appears to be a perfectly healthy,
beautiful little red-haired girl. She doesn''t even know she is
sick yet and can''t understand why she has to go to the doctor
so often if she''s not sick.

I am asking for your prayers on her behalf. Please pray for her
healing and for strength and comfort for her
family. She is only six years old. Think of a six year old in
your life and imagine that life being cut short.
You can only imagine a fraction of the pain and fear her
parents are facing.

Normally I hate email chain letters but now I am asking you to
send this letter, or copies of it, to everybody you can think of
that will pray for Amanda. Please also take her name to your
church and church groups and ask others to pray for her
healing. Many thanks and may God bless each one of you who

point he would not survive a lung transplant. He is still on life

The leading cause of breast cancer is the use of anti-perspirant.

What?

Yes ANTI-PERSPIRANT. Most of the products out there are
an anti-perspirant/deodorant combination so go home and
check your labels.

Deodorant is fine, anti-perspirant is not. Here's why:
The human body has a few areas that it uses to purge toxins;
behind the knees, behind the ears, groin area, and armpits.
The toxins are purged in the form of perspiration.

Anti-perspirant, as the name clearly indicates, prevents you
from perspiring, thereby inhibiting the body from purging
toxins from below the armpits. These toxins do not just
magically disappear. Instead, the body deposits them in the
lymph nodes below the arms since it cannot sweat them out.

This causes a high concentration of toxins and leads to cell
mutations: a.k.a.CANCER. Nearly all breast cancer tumors
occur in the upper outside quadrant of the breast area. This is
precisely where the lymph nodes are located.

Additionally, men are less likely (but not completely exempt)
to develop breast cancer prompted by anti-perspirant usage
because most of the anti-perspirant product is caught in their
hair and is not directly applied to the skin. Women who apply

My sister's co-worker has a sister in Texas who with her
husband was planning a weekend trip across the Mexican
border for a shopping spree. At the last minute their baby sitter
canceled, so they had to bring along their two year old son with
them.

They had been across the border for about an hour when the
baby got free and ran around the corner. The mother went
chasing, but the boy had disappeared. The mother found a
police officer who told her to go to the gate and wait.

Not really understanding the instructions, she did as she was
instructed. About 45minutes later, a man approached the border
carrying the boy. The mother ran to him, grateful that he had
been found. When the man realized it was the boy's mother, he
dropped the boy and ran.

The police were waiting for him and got him. The boy, was
dead. In the 45 minutes (less than) he was missing, he was cut
open and, ALL of his insides removed and his body cavity
stuffed with COCAINE. The man was going to carry him
across the border as if he were asleep. A two year old boy,
dead, discarded as if he were a piece of trash for somebody's
cocaine.

COPELAND'S -Forwarded

Ladies and Gentleman, Please be aware. I am a God fearing
African - American 21 year old woman who is sending this
message in all sincerity and honesty. This weekend a few
friends and myself decided to take friends from out of town to
Copeland's for dinner. We explained to our guest how nice
the restaurant was and how we were sure they would enjoy the
food. Our party consisted of five African American males and
four African American females from the ages of 21 to 29.

We entered Copeland's and told the hostess we would like a
table for a party of ten. The young lady paused gave us an odd
glare and then stated she would "look". She returned
approximately 15 minutes later to direct us to our table. It was
a long booth in the rear of the restaurant next to the kitchen.
When we asked if it were possible we could sit at a large
round table on the higher level of the reastaraunt, we were told
our party was too big. We ignored this and decided to sit at
the booth anyway.

Approximately two minutes after we all sat and opened our
menus one of the gentelman in our party was asked to remove
his cap. Since we were in a restaurant he understood and did
so. Approximately a minute later the manager returns and in a
very rude manner tells another gentleman in our party he has
to sit upright. Please keep in mind this young man was not
laid out in the booth, but was merely leaning on his elbow
looking at the menu. We all paused and looked at the manager
in disbelief. My friend to whom the manager was speaking,
also in disbelief asked the manager "What did you say?". The
manager then very harshly told my friend that if he did not sit
up Copeland's would not serve anyone at our table. When my
friend refused the manager told all of us to "get out!"

We remained seated and I, a college educated woman, asked
in an exteremely professional manner for the manager to
please show us in his policy where this "no slouching rule"
was stated. In disgust he walked away. When he returned he
had a police officer with him that explained he was forced to
show us out of the restaurant. He also explained if we refused
to leave we would be placed under arrest. Once we were out of
the restaraunt the officer explained to us whathappened inside
was extremely odd, and that he had never had to ask anyone
to leave for slouching, but because he was hired for security at
Copeland's he had no choice but to ask us to leave. He also
suggestedwe take this up as civil matter, which we are
definitely in the process of doing.

Thought I would share with everyone something that
happened on Tuesday night ... and I hope that you will all pass

While I was online Tuesday night, I was sent me an IM and
told me to checkout the profile of another AOL user named
CRAZY70707. Not really thinking much about it, I pulled the
profile up ... and in big red letters, the word "FROZEN" was at
the top of this profile. At first, I thought it was some kind of a
joke, but when I went to click the profile off of my screen...I
couldn't do anything...I was, as the profile said, frozen.

I sat for a few moments thinking the joke would go away and I
could continue my time on AOL. This wasn't the way it was
going to happen. The only way I could get out was to
cntrl/alt/delete. When I was able to log on again, my
computer was sluggish so I logged off again. A few hours
later when I decided to try again...I clicked on my AOL icon
and a warning came up that I would need to reinstall AOL...it
had been completely wiped from our system.

When Alan got home, he called AOL to see if they could tell
what happened. When he told the AOL rep about
CRAZY70707, she pulled the profile up and guess what...as
you might have already guessed...her computer froze up as
mine did. We had to reinstall 4.0 and 5.0 again ... and we all
know how much of a pain that is. We have lost everything in
our download file, as well as everything stored in our favorite
places.

I am sending this as a warning to you all. Do not pull this
profile up...whoever this person is, he's an idiot ... he's been
reported and I am hoping that AOL is smart and will

The last few months have revealed an alarming trend in the Government
of the United States attempting to quietly push through legislation
that will affect your use of the Internet. Under proposed legislation
the U.S. Postal Service will be attempting to bilk email users out of
"alternate postage fees".

Bill 602P will permit the Federal Govt to charge a 5 cent surcharge
on every email delivered, by billing Internet Service Providers at
source. The consumer would then be billed in turn by the ISP.
Washington D.C. lawyer Richard Stepp is working without pay to
prevent this legislation from becoming law.

The U.S. Postal Service is claiming that
lost revenue due to the proliferation of email is
costing nearly $230,000,000 in revenue per year. You
may have noticed their recent ad campaign "There is
nothing like a letter". Since the average citizen
received about 10 pieces of email per day in 1998, the
cost to the typical individual would be an additional
50 cents per day, or over $180 dollars per year, above
and beyond their regular Internet costs. Note that
this would be money paid directly to the U.S. Postal
Service for a service they do not even provide.

The whole point of the Internet is democracy and non-interference. If
the federal government is permitted to tamper with our liberties by
adding a surcharge to email, who knows where it will end. You are
already paying an exorbitant price for snail mail because of
bureacratic efficiency. It currently takes up to 6 days for a letter
to be delivered from New York to Buffalo. If the U.S. Postal Service
is allowed to tinker with email, it will mark the end of the "free"
Internet in the United States.

One congressman, Tony Schnell (R) has even suggested a
"twenty to forty dollar per month surcharge on all
Internet service" above and beyond the government's
proposed email charges. Note that most of the major
newspapers have ignored the story, the only exception

From the Ministry of Attorney General, Victoria THIS IS A

Recently on Inside Edition there was an article about several
new scams to abduct women. In one, a man comes up to a
woman in a Mall or Shopping Center and asks if she likes
Pizza. When she says she does, he offers her $100.00 to shoot a
commercial for pizza, but they need to go outside where the
lighting is better. When the woman goes out of the mall she is
abducted and assaulted.

Another ploy is a very nicely dressed man asks a woman if she
would be in a Public Service announcement to discourage drug
use. The man explains that they don't want professional actors
or celebrities, they want The average mother to do this. Once
she leaves the mall she is a victim.

The third ploy, and the most successful, a very frantic man
comes running in and asks a woman to please help him, his
baby is not breathing. She runs out of the mall following him
and also becomes a victim.

These have been happening in well-lit parking areas, in
daylight as well as nighttime, all over the country. The
abductor usually uses a van to abduct the woman. 'Inside
Edition' set up a test in a Mall and 10 out of 15 women went out
of the Mall on the Pizza and the PSA scam. And all of them
went out of the Mall on the baby scam. Please pass this along to
your friends and family as now that it has been shown
on nationwide TV there are bound to be copycats of this.

My (not me) former secretary had a terrible thing happen to her and her family last week, and I wanted to share it with all of you so that you could be warned and warn your friends and family as well. She had a gel candle burning in her bathroom ... it exploded and caught her house on fire. The house burned down and they lost everything.

The Fire Marshall told her that this is not the first incident where a gel candle has exploded and caused a fire. He said that the gel builds up a gas and often times it explodes and sets fire to the room it is in, which is what happened to her. The fire was so hot it melted the smoke alarm, and they didn't discover the fire until there was an explosion, which was her toilet blowing up, and then it was too late...the entire upstairs was engulfed in flames. Smoke damage and water damage have destroyed what wasn't destroyed by fire.

Please pass this along to anyone I missed. I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else. Her family is deva! ! stated. All their mementos and everything of value and meaning are gone. Thanks and take care!

Note: Marty and I know a lady who loves the gel candles. She had one burning on her mantle and it caught fire just like the message above. His first instinct was to blow the candle out. Well, that didn't work, so he blew harder....the gel from the candle splattered and went everywhere. Everywhere included his face. He had 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns all over his face. The gel doesn't cool like wax does, so the bits that were still on his face continued to burn him. And you can't wipe the stuff off, it just rolls up and keeps burning. Please don't use gel candles. Fortunately his scars are not noticeable now, but the "what ifs" are tremendous.

We had a similar experience. I had received as a gift a gel candle from Avon. It was contained in a wine goblet, was sort of purple gel with glitter in the gel. We had it on our dresser in the bedroom. Once when it was burning, the entire solid turned to liquid and the glitter pieces "jumped" randomly out of the wine glass, taking drops of gel with it, getting all over the dresser and window curtain. A weird scene to say the least. Needless to say, I put the flame out and emptied the remaining liquefied gel into the toilet.

Supposedly this is true......you never know

This is happening in Montreal. A couple of weeks ago, in a movie
theatre, a person sat on something sharp in one of the seats. When
she stood up to see what it was, a needle was found poking through
the seat with an attached note saying, "You have been infected with
HIV". The Centers for Disease Control reports similar events have
taken place in several other cities recently. All of the needles tested
HAVE been positive for HIV.

The CDC also reports that needles have been found in the coin return
areas of pay phones and soda machines. Everyone is asked to use extreme
caution when confronted with these types of situations. All public
chairs should be thoroughly but safely inspected prior to any use. A
thorough visual inspection is considered a bare minimum. Furthermore,
they ask that everyone notify their family members and friends of the
potential dangers, as well. Thank you.

The previous information was sent from the Regina City Police
Department to all of the local governments in the Saskatchewan area and
