Jerry S Kids

I'm writing you on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. As you may
know, the annual Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon is currently going on, and will
continue through Labor Day. There are 40 neuromuscular diseases that attack
people from infancy to adulthood. These are degenerative conditions for which,
unfortunately there are no cures. One minute of research costs $37.00,
wheelchairs costs hundreds of dollars, and sending a child with MD to summer
camp costs $400. I'm not asking you to give any amount of this size, just
remember that every little bit helps, and please be thankful for what you more
than likely take for granted: your mobility, your health. Any one of us or our
children could be diagnosed with a form of muscular dystrophy at any time, and
your dollar could be the one that finds the cure, or at least brings a smile to a
child's face. SO! Clean out those couch cushions, I challenge you as a member
of the 1997 GSP Community to pledge whatever you can! Be it $1.00 or $50.00.
Instead of buying that new sweater or treating yourself to pizza one night, help
me save lives.
