George Washington, father of our country. George Washington, when he was
just a child, just a boy, honesty was his trademark. The classic story we
all remember was when George Washington's father came up to George and
said, "George Washington--father of our country--my son--I want to ask you
a question. Someone cut down the cherry tree." And George Washington,
though he was just a youth, said, "Father, I cannot tell a lie. It was I
who cut down that cherry tree."

And his father punched him in the mouth.

Because George Washington cut down the cherry tree. And his father was in
the cherry tree picking cherries!
