Looksmart joins the battle of search engines by introducing the new and improved Grub in order to use the very best of distributed computing to build the best search engine on the web.

Use this tool to get the most updated status of any site in XML format. There are also two URLs which serve your requests and return the result in a data set. You can also use wisenut (which like must of the search engines lacks a grouping algorithm) to test the index.

What I love most about Grub (aside from the idea and the technology), is its UI. It's perfectly unique, especially when entering the URL here! The only down side I noticed is the processing slowness when a search is performed since it's written in PHP.
