Microsoft finally came up with its own copy of what we formerly knew as "Google Maps". :)
The only glitch in
MSN Virtual Earth is that it's supposedly
missing Apple Headquarters
, which is located here in Cupertino.
Now who says Microsoft is not evil.
PS1. MSN's satellite map has higher-quality pictures than Google's.
PS2. Someone on Slashdot mentioned a valid point: Highway 85 doesn't exist in their map.
It's an old picture.
PS3. VirtualEarth's very cool feature is the "Locate Me" feature. It can either locate you
using your IP address or Wi-Fi base-units near you.
I know you're all tired of seeing Jaber Rouzbahani's photo for
(mmm... how long?) more than a year now; but I guess it's time
to return now.
So many things happened during the last year. Perhaps the most
important of them all was getting married to my beautiful wife,
Angela. This is a big news and I think certainly justifies
the long gap :)
My parents visited me in September. Seeing them and hanging
out with them was great. Better yet, my Parisian brother also
came the last week they were here and completed the fun.
I've been constantly working at least 60+ hours a week. Finished
a bunch of fun projects at work and grad. school work is almost
done.
Started Haftegi Radio
(podcast) and IranTracker
with Mehdi. Both of them were fun projects. I also launched
7rooz Jokes.
This weblog will be mostly a collection of interesting links
and perhaps short comments on the daily technology/finance news.
I'll update the Persian Section frequently
as well.
Please stay tuned!
